Highland Charter Public School, located in the Highland community of Gastonia, North Carolina, currently serves Kindergarten through 5th grade students. We are a K-5 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) focused elementary school, adding 4th grade for the 2010-2011 school year and 5th grade for the 2011-2012 school year. Our goal is to place each child on a successful path that will lead to high school graduation and beyond. A STEM curriculum combined with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study provides a strong instructional program with students enjoying uninterrupted small group daily instruction.
